Top of the morning to all of you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

Our focus today is on Luke 10:20. In this account, Jesus had sent out seventy of his disciples to on a missionary journey in verse 1. He gives them several instructions among which is this one found in verse 9, “And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near to you.’” They return in verse 17 rejoicing because even the demons were subject to them. Jesus concedes that point, but He responds, “Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” Hallelujah, praise God almighty in the name of Jesus! Can anyone imagine a more glorious truth than that? Our names are written in heaven! Dwell on that the next time the trials in this life get you down.
